I didn't find this work in a classroom. I found it crawling out of a hole.
I can still feel the pain in my chest.
The heavy weight that followed me around for years after I suddenly lost my mother. I was 19.
Before that, the only thing that had ever shifted me was alcohol and a good party. Life was music, friends, girls, fun. I coasted on what came easy and avoided the rest.
And then the floor fell out. The meaning drained out of ordinary days, and I kept asking the same question... what is the point of all of this?
I wasn't saved by a single moment of insight. I was saved by the work.
I got into fitness. I tried to make something of my music. I hosted little concerts around town. I kept reaching, even when I couldn't see where I was reaching toward.
Eventually it was the inner work that truly pulled me out. Changing my beliefs. Rewriting the story of who I thought I was. Learning to hold space for my own emotions instead of running from them.
That's the thing nobody tells you.
The best freedom strategies in the world will never work with an imprisoned mind, heart and soul.
What saved me wasn't a single insight or a new routine.
It was finding the pattern underneath all of it.
The one I'd been running my whole life without knowing it was there.
Once I could see it clearly, I could actually change it.
So now I do for others what was once done for me.
Finding the pattern. Naming it. Then actually changing it.
The quiz is the first step toward seeing yours.
